Line Therapy

Illustrations

Myrte uses schematic representations (illustrations) to map the layers of socially desirable behaviour in a humorous way. Take layers such as thoughts, subtext, motives and social relations. Visitors personally get to work with Myrte to make such a drawing themselves.

Social behaviour consist of many layers, but many of these layers are never explicitly mentioned. For example, these layers can consist out of thoughts, feelings, social rules, subtext, motives and social relations. In “Line Therapy” Myrte van der Molen and participants discuss these layers in more detail. She tries to humorously map this out using schematic representations in the form of graphic illustrations. The project tries to make the social layers visible with the hopes to get a better understanding of the depts of social behaviour.
